Agenda

Intros
60 seconds to give your name and conversion model (no positions or company names)

Here is a simple example:
"Fraser - we have a download and a three step login (20 seconds) to get onto our service"

I. Spark Questions
to get the night moving
What works and what has gone well?
What has gone wrong what didn't work well?

II. Tactical
What tools can you use?
What works what doesn't?
Open sign on vs. third party systems (facebook connect, google connect, Open ID)

III. Real examples
Small stories using real life examples.
Fraser has a good example
What does a major tech blog send in traffic?
Real world experiences / conversion numbers for common affiliate programs (iTunes, Amazon, etc...)

Monitoring and improving key conversion metrics is core to the success of any young web service. And yet there's poor visibility around 'normal' conversion numbers, ways to optimize performance, best measurement tools, etc.

This event brings together individuals involved with different web services to share insight, experiences, and lessons learned with conversion metrics.

NOTE: this is a share and share alike event. With limited space all participants must contribute to the conversation by sharing their (non confidential) data and tweaks/optimizations that worked best.

It would be great to bring some or all of the following for discussion:

  1. Main source of conversions
  2. Analytics behind counting conversions
  3. Conversion funnels
  4. Measurement techniques to analyze conversion funnels and sale
  5. Ways to look at and pivot conversion\customer data
  6. Best practices
  7. Worst mistakes (this will help everyone else)
  8. Best examples
  9. data management
  10. Questions for others
